Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented California Beach
An aircraft soaring above a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as spectators observed.
Recordings shared on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin above Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were injured. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
Event Association
Officials said the aircraft was linked to an annual “Cars with Copters” fundraising event scheduled for Sunday.
